Imphal, May 27 2025:
Resident Doctors Association (RDA), JNIMS has suspended its strike, which disrupted routine services, after authorities concerned assured a roll back to the old fee regime effective from the batch of October 2022 .
A release issued by the Association informed that the resolution to call off the strike was made following a positive discussion between representatives of RDA and secretary to Governor in the presence of joint secretary (Health & FW), JNIMS director and dean (Academics) .
The release said that the proposal of the RDA regarding the roll-back of current fee regime is under active consideration by the government and a decision will be notified soon.
It was also agreed that fee realisation and the deadline for fee submission will be notified based on the decision of the government.
Informing that the resident doctors will resume their duties immediately, the release, however, cautioned that further course of actions would be initiated in case the resolutions are not implemented within four weeks.
