NG Mani College hosts 'Professors' Meet'

Imphal, July 25 2025: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of NG Mani College organised a "Professors' Meet" at the college on Friday to showcase the extracurricular talents of its teaching staff.

The event was attended by College chairman Ngangkham Choba, vice-chairman Nongthombam Arunkumar, secretary Sarangthem Somorendro, principal Dr W Jibankumar, and vice-principal Dr M Umakanta.

During the programme, faculty members displayed their individual talents, including traditional dance (Jagoi) and singing, in a celebration of creativity and expression.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jibankumar highlighted that the Professors' Meet serves as a platform for teachers to express their innate talents.

He stressed the importance of teachers possessing such qualities, adding that during a previous NAAC inspection, the need for faculty members to cultivate and display personal talents was particularly emphasised.

Head of History department Dr K Ibemcha stated that teachers should not limit themselves to academic instruction but also bring forth their talents, such as singing and dancing, which are often kept hidden.

She said that showcasing these abilities is also connected to NAAC accreditation standards, and the meet offers an opportunity to highlight them.
