86 Bn CRPF organises free eye camp

Imphal, August 19 2025: Under the aegis of IG M&N sector CRPF, 86 Battalion CRPF, in collaboration with Medilane Eye Care, Imphal organised free eye medical camp at the battalion's Lamphelpat headquarters on Tuesday.

According to the battalion's second-in command W Nandini Devi, the camp was aimed at providing eye check-ups and related services to officers/personnel of CRPF and facilitate eye care services, especially for those who may not be able to conveniently access such services or otherwise due to the hectic schedule of duties.

The camp was led by a team of experienced ophthalmologists and optometrists from Medilane Eye Care checking the eye of unit personnel/trainees under the supervision of 86 BN chief medical officer (CMO) Dr Florence Dangmei.

In addition to eye examination and cataract screening, the camp also offered follow-up clinic for those requiring further treatment or surgery.

Approximately 90 CRPF officers/personnel enrolled for the camp availed benefits of medical facilities provided by the medical team.
