DC urged to release 2024 flood aid

Imphal, June 16 2025: Imphal East Zilla Parishad former upadhakshya Kshetri Tama On Monday filed a complaint with Imphal East deputy commissioner for release of the government compensation assured to families of Kshetrigao assembly constituency who were affected by the flood that occurred in June/July, 2024 .

The complaint mentioned that subsequent to many houses and properties in Kshetrigao damaged in the said flood, applications for compensations were submitted to Porompat SDO on time.

However, complaints have been received stating that no relief has been provided from the government side till date.

Kshetri Tama urged the IE DC to look into the matter and release the assured compensation amount to the flood-affected people.
