IW deploys flying squads for farmers

Imphal, July 04 2025: As a part of the initiatives of Imphal West district administration to ensure safe farming activities and prevent any untoward incidents during the farming season, flying squad teams (FST) have been deployed and officers appointed as head of the team to attend to any clarifications/disputes/complaints/concerns in the fringe areas of Imphal West district.

An order issued Imphal West deputy commissioner Mayanglambam Rajkumar Singh informed that Lamsang SDC Ningombam Rabichandra Meitei is the head of FST 1 (9974661764), Salam SDC Premanandi Okram (7085512361) FST-2, Sekmai SDC Sujata Thokchom (8447076194) FST-3, Lamsang SDC (HQ) T Nanda-kumar Singh (8787338864) FST-4, Patsoi SDC (HQ) Puyam Rahuldev Singh (7005178422) FST-5, Patsoi SDC Kshetrimayum Renu Devi (8413973018) FST-6 and Konthoujam SDC RK Roshan Singh (7085611083) FST-7 .

Two district police personnel will be attached to each FST .

Farmers/farmers' association may reach out to the heads of the flying squad teams or to District Nodal Contact Point O Poireingamba Khumancha (9862054678) or District Control Room (0385-2451188) .

The teams must reach out to farming areas in their respective revenue circles twice a week and as and when situation demands.

FST headed by SDC(HQ) and non-affected circle SDCs must be on reserve and to act as and when reinforcement is required under the direction of the sub-divisional magistrates concerned, directed the DC .
