ASHAs, ANMs trained on NCD screening

Kakching, February 26 2025:
As part of the nationwide Intensified Special Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Screening Campaign since February 21, NP-NCD Cell, Chandel conducted a One Day District level Training programme on NCD Population Base Screening for ASHA workers and ANMs at Kakching district hospital, on Wednesday.
The training focused on NCD risk factors, early detection, appropriate investigations and interventions, maintaining family folders and CBAC forms, and submitting the daily data format for Diabetes and Hypertension screening reports during the Intensified NCD Screening Drive in Chandel.

The campaign aims to achieve 100 percent screening of all individuals aged 30 years and above for prevalent NCDs, including diabetes and hypertension.
It will be implemented at all Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs), HWCs, PHCs and district hospital across Chandel, under the National Programme for Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases (NP-NCD) .
In this initiative, ASHA workers from respective villages, along with ANMs/ CHOs from all healthcare facilities, will conduct screenings for hypertension and diabetes all individuals in the aforementioned age groups in Chandel district.
