SEMCO bids farewell to 19 retirees

Kakching, July 25 2025: A farewell party was organised on Friday by staff members of South East Manipur College (SEMCO), Komlathabi, in honour of 19 retired faculty members who had served the college for many years.

Among those who had retired included principal and Manipuri department head Th Jamini Devi, vice principal Kh Khelendra Singh, Education Department's M Birchandra Singh, M Nandini Devi, Economics Department's M Thambalchou Singh, S Padmani Devi, assistant professor T Shajou Singh, Manipuri Department head S Sorojini Dev, Political Science Department head S Rame Singh, assistant professor A Dhanakumar Singh, retired PSC & former chairman COC N Ramo Singh, head clerk W Kodin, UDC M Dhananjoy Singh, librarian R Robinson Moyon, N Momoni Devi, Physics laboratory assistant Ng Sorojeni Moyon, Physics laboratory attendant M Nabachandra Singh and Th Manihal Chothe.

The farewell function organised by SEMCOTA and South East Manipur College Non-Teaching Staff Association (SEMCONTSA) was attended by SEMCO principal Ksh Suresh Singh, vice principal L Solomon Dangshawa, former principal Dr L Khiloni, COC chairman Dr S Haridas Singh, and teaching and non-teaching staff.

As part of the function, a 2-minute silence was observed in honour of those locals who had contributed in developing the college but are no more.
