Imphal, July 22 2024: Assam Rifles provided medical first aid to victims of an accident that took place at Shangshak in Ukhrul district on Monday.

In a release, PRO 1GAR (S) informed that a Bolero pickup truck met with an accident near Shangshak Khullen village, causing the vehicle to topple into a nearby land depression.

AR troops demonstrated exceptional responsiveness and commitment to public welfare by immediately rushing to the scene.

Their quick and efficient actions ensured the safe rescue of the three passengers trapped inside the vehicle, the PRO said, adding that amongst the travellers, an injured minor child was swiftly evacuated to the Shangshak battalion's unit hospital, where he received urgent medical care.

The Assam Rifles' dedicated medical team provided comprehensive first aid to all three passengers, stabilising their conditions and ensuring their well-being, it said.
