Source: Chronicle News Service
Noney, May 11 2025:
In connection with 'Bal Vivah Mukt Bharat', Noney district administration and District Child Protection Unit, Noney organised awareness-cum-sensitisation programme for religious and community leaders on the topic "Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006' at Charoi, Tupul SDA church campus on Sunday.
The objective of the programme, organised in col laboration with One Stop Centre, is to make religious and community leaders aware about the Act so that no child marriage is entertained in any place of worship - including temples, churches, mosques, etc., across the district.

Posters reinforcing the same message have already been prominently displayed at religious institutions, signalling zero tolerance for the practice.
Representatives of The Adventurers and Path Finders' Club of SDA Church also attended the programme and took pledge that no child marriage would take place in their families, neighbours and communities.
They would support the government decision on creation of child marriage free Bharat.
