Uripok protests attack at doctor's house

Imphal, May 10 2025: Residents of Uripok Khoisnam Leikai in Imphal West district on Friday staged a sit-in protest against the firing attack at the residence of Dr Konjengbam Dhanachandra on Thursday evening.

Briefing media persons at the protest venue, Khoisnam Leikai Meira Paibi Lup vice president Oinam Roshita Devi condemned the actions of the armed miscreants as cowardly.

"The incident created fear among the children and elderly people," she said and urged the miscreants not repeat such acts in future.

During the protest, locals held placards denouncing firing in populated areas, threatening innocent civilians and pointing gun to civilians instead of enemy.
