Govt urged to provide solar lamps

Imphal, May 24 2025: Residents of Leibi village under Tengnoupal district, Moreh sub-division appealed to state government for providing solar lamps to the village.

Inhabited by Maring community, Leibi village has a population of 850 people with 120 households.

Speaking on the issue, Maring social worker K Prakash stated that villagers face electricity problems during the monsoon season due to damaged or disconnected power lines.

Students are facing more problem in their study due to power cut.

The villagers had urged Moreh SDO Ejaj Hassan to convey to the higher ups of the department concerned for providing solar lamps to the village, he reminded and reiterated the appeal for providing solar lamps at the earliest.
