Tour of students culminates at Koirengei

The National Integration Tour (NIT) for 20 students from Imphal East district of Manipur, concluded at Koirengei on Saturday.
In a release, PRO Defence informed that the 10-day tour was flagged-in by Red Shield Division general officer commanding (GOC), provided an enriching experience of visiting and experiencing the rich heritage of Delhi, Agra and Lucknow, offering an enriching, cultural and educational journey.
Key highlights included an exclusive interaction with the President of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi, visits to the iconic monuments Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri.
Students got an exposure to visit the premier Indian Army institutions like Army Airborne Training School and the 11 Gorkha Regimental Recruitment Centre.
Interaction with the President and senior military leaders inspired the students, to instil in them a sense of patriotism and be part of the nation building, it mentioned.
The release further said that during the flag-in ceremony, the GOC emphasised upon the transformative power of travel in broadening perspectives and enriching knowledge.
Upon their return, the students shared their joyful and awe-inspiring stories, reflecting the profound impact of the tour, it added.
