MSCW, MACKALL condole Nganthoi, Lamnunthem

Imphal, June 16 2025:
Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) and Manipur Chanura Lamjing Lup (MACHALL), Bishnupur district have condoled the loss of Nganthoi Sharma Kong-brailatpam and Lamnunthem Singson, who were among the victims of the tragic crash of Air India Flight AI 171.The ill-fated flight was en route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick when it crashed on June 12, 2025 .
In a condolence message issued Monday, MSCW chairperson, members, member secretary and staffers mourned the loss of the two young women from the state.
Describing them as "young, dynamic, talented women", MSCW said that they will be remembered for their fighting spirit and dedication towards their professions.
"Manipur has lost two young dynamic, talented women," the Commission stated, adding that their contributions and commitment to their respective professions will not be forgotten.
MSCW expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved families, stating, 'Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families during this difficult time.
May their departed souls rest in peace".
MACHALL, Bishnupur also expressed deep condolences over the tragic demise of 'daughters' of Manipur, Nganthoi and Lamnunthem, in the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on June 12 .
In a condolence message, MACHALL convener Moirangthem Puspa Chanu prayed for their souls to rest in peace and shared the grief of the bereaved families.
