Noney, June 15 2025: On the occasion of Father's Day, a poignant tribute was paid to the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of the valiant liberation fighter, Haipou Jadonang, with the formal inauguration of the renovated Haipou Jadonang Memorial Park at Khoupum Valley, Noney district.

The aim of the inaugural event was to acknowledge the contributions of the fatherly figure Haipou Jadonang to the nation's freedom movement and to rededicate the renovated memorial park to the local populace.

The ceremony was attended by 50 locals, including representatives from Haipou Jadonang Malangmei Memorial Trust, Khoupum Area Village Authority Council, Rongmei Luphwam (women's CSO), Zeliangrong Students' Union (Khoupum area), local village authorities, and youth.

The park has been enhanced with concrete chequered-tile pathways, chequered-tile stairways leading to the memorial statue, a well-finished tiled stage in front of the statue, and the upkeep of outdoor seating areas, along with other general improvements.

The inauguration ceremony commenced with the welcoming of delegates at Jadonang Memorial Park, Gwangpungbut, Khoupum Valley.
