BABINA Hospital holds skin health camp

In a step toward promoting skin health and public awareness, BABINA Hospital organised a two-day Free Skin Consultation and Advisory Camp on July 13 and 14.Held under the historic IADVL & CD 2025 initiative, the camp extended to a second day due to overwhelming response from online and telephonic registrations.
According to a statement from the BABINA Hospital, the health camp led by the hospital's senior consultant dermatologist Dr Karam Lokendro, focused on skin, hair, nail, and genital health, areas often neglected or misunderstood by the public.
A total of 222 persons were examined during the camp, with 132 and 90 consultations on the first and second day respectively.
Along with receiving free consultations, patients also benefitted from 50 percent discounts on relevant investigations and another 20 percent discounts on applicable procedures, making quality dermatological care more accessible.
"Skin health is not just about appearance, it's often a reflection of our overall well-being.
We were pleasantly surprised by the huge turnout, and it's a sign that people are becoming more aware and proactive about their health," shared Dr Lokendro, speaking at the conclusion of the camp.
"This initiative is not just a medical event but part of a national movement to promote dermatological awareness and remove stigma around skir genital issues," he added.
The event was organised as a part of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists & Leprologists (IADVL)'s attempt to set an International Book of Records entry for conducting the maximum number of Free Skin Health Camps across India under its IADVL & CD 2025 programme.
While extending gratitude to all patients, staff and volunteers who made the event possible, the statement said that the success of the camp not only highlights the need for regular skin health initiatives but also reflects BABINA Hospital's continued commitment to community welfare and accessible healthcare.
