Dr Achingliu Kamei's poems included in syllabus of Jamia Millia Islamia

Noney, July 13 2024: Dr Achingliu Kamei's poems have been included in the NEP 2020 English syllabus (Major Paper) of the Department of English, Jamia Millia Islamia.

Her poems, "Trees of My Ancestors" and "Whispers from Mother Earth" from Songs of Raengdailu, will be taught in the BA (Major) programme.

Dr Achingliu Kamei has also published several books: Naga Tales, Dawn (2017); Liangtu-ang Pu, Illustrated Novella for Children (2021); Headspace, The Mind's Realm (2022); Naga Tales Morning Blush (2023); and Restless Oceans (2024).Presently, she is working on the books 'Roots and Wings, ' a collection of Senryu, Haiku, and Haibun, and "Aroma of Kindness," which are due for publication later this year.

Dr Achingliu Kamei is originally from Tamenglong village and is currently teaching in the English Department of Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) College, Delhi University as an Associate Professor.

She is also an awardee of the International Women of the Year 2022 presented by the Centre for Professional Advancement (A Unit of the International Multidisciplinary Research Foundation), Delhi.
