BeeNet Block opened at Angaan Ching Eco Park

Kakching, August 02 2025: With an aim to increase greenery and protect the environment, the Bio diversity, Ecology and Environment Network (BeeNet), Manipur inaugurated a BeeNet Block at Angaan Ching-Eco Park, Kakching on Saturday, during which it planted endangered tree saplings of the state at the Block.

The programme was attended by Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Manipur director Dr T Brajakumar; BeeNet, Manipur vice president and Manipur University Department of Zoology professor N Mohilal Meitei, Alliance for Development Alternate Manipur (ADAM), Kakching secretary and Angaan Ching Eco Park, Kakching Management Committee coordinator Surjit Kshetrimayum; BeeNet Manipur secretary Sougrakpam Bhubol; NIT Manipur former registrar in-charge professor T Daniel; MU College Development Council director Dr H Shukhdeba Sharma; Indian Embassy London, UK diplomat Naorem Jogendrajit; environment activist Joykumar Sharma, students, scholars and environmentalists.

During the event, a discussion on global warming, ozone depletion, plastic pollution, climate change and problems arising due to loss of ecological balance was also held at the resting shed of the Park.
