Thoubal, March 01 2025: Lamta Thangja rituals were performed at the shrines of Thoubal Ningthou, Khunbu Leima, Nongpok Ningthou, Nongpok Panthoibi, Chinga Lairembi and the sacred sites of Ibudhou and Ibendhou today.

The ritual worship corresponds with the arrival of the first Saturday of Lamta/Lamda month.

As per a press release issued by AK Prem, secretary, Thoubal Ningthou Lainingthou Lairembi Thougal Lup, members of the Thougal Lup, shamans, elders of Thoubal Achouba came together to present offerings and prayers at these shrines.

Notably, many households from Thoubal Achouba, Khongman Bashikhong and Imphal West also presented religious offerings at the holy sites of Ibudhou-Ibendhou.

Performing the Saroi Ngaroi Khangba ritual, the Thoubal Ningthou Lainingthou Lairembi Thougal Lup offered prayers to usher in abundance, good health, absence of fear and intimidation and peace across the length and breadth of Manipur.
