DC reviews Ningthoukhong CHC work

Bishnupur, August 19 2025: In a move to bolster healthcare services within the district, Bishnupur deputy commissioner DC) Pooja Elangbam, accompanied by chief medical officer Dr L Raichandra, assessed progress of ongoing building construction of the Ningthoukhong Community Health Centre (CHC) on Tuesday, besides reviewing overall functioning of the centre.

During the visit, the medical officer in-charge briefed the DC on progress of the new construction, maintenance of existing facility, manpower availability and infrastructure status.

Taking stock of the situation, DC Pooja Elangbam urged doctors and nurses to continue delivering quality healthcare services, stressing that their dedication plays a crucial role in saving lives.

She assured the staff of the district administration's full support and encouraged them to carry out their duties with commitment.

During inspection of the building construction, the DC for expediting the final stages to ensure timely completion.
