Covid active count reaches 51 with 16 new cases

Imphal, June 19 2025: The number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state reached 53 with 52 active cases as 16 more people tested positive on Thursday.

The new cases are from Imphal West (7), Imphal East (8) and Tengnoupal (1) .

In the last 24 hours, 38 samples were tested, of which 16 tested positive bringing the positivity rate to 42.1 per cent.

Of the 51 cases, 48 are in home isolation and three hospitalised.

The Health authorities are continuing contact tracing activities.

Since June 1, a total of 185 samples were tested in the state, of which 53 tested positive.

In Manipur's context, around 1,40,093 people tested positive for COVID-19 since 2020, of which 2149 died, while 1,37,893 recovered.

Meanwhile, a total of 507 positive cases were detected in the country in the last 24 hours.

Three deaths were reported, with active cases standing at 5976 and 1219 discharged.

Since January 1, around 17,164 people have been discharged and 116 deaths reported.
