SBI opens new branch at Paomata Centre

A new branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) at Paomata Centre was inaugurated on Saturday by Senapati deputy commissioner Mamoni Doley and SBI, Local Head Office, Guwahati Network II, North East Circle general manager Dhruba Charan Bal.
The new branch is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and team of experienced staff, dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.
With this addition, SBI continues to expand its footprint, with SBI Paomata Branch as the seventh branch in Senapati district and 66th across the state.
The branch will offer a variety of services, including account opening, deposit and withdrawal facilities, loan products, digital banking services, government sponsored schemes and social security schemes'.
Customers can also access a wide range of SBI's digital platforms, including internet banking, YONO, and joint venture products such as SBI Life Insurance, SBI Mutual Fund, SBI General Insurance and SBI Cards.
SBI's expansion plans are aligned with the government's initiatives to promote digital payments and financial literacy.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Mamoni Doley congratulated SBI for opening the branch in the unbanked block of Paomata, at a short span of time after the real-location of Paomata block to SBI in 2023 .
She stressed that accessing banking facilities is the basic right of a citizen and urged the public to make full use of the banking facilities available and also urged the LDM to conduct more financial literacy camps in the district so as to sensitise and create awareness among the public for the banking facilities and benefits available.
She also requested the SBI GM to take the initiative to open its branch in the two unbanked block of Purul and Willong.
GM Dhruba Charan Bal thanked the SBI team for their tireless efforts in making the branch a reality and expressed gratitude to customers for their trust and support and said that the inauguration of the new branch marks a significant step in SBI's efforts to expand its footprint in Manipur and strengthen its commitment to customer service.
