Senapati, May 30 2025:
The 4th United Naga Council (UNC) Assembly was held on Friday at Tumuyon Khullen village in Senapati, where the primary focus was on the challenges confronting the Naga people.
After the programme, UNC president Ng Lorho said that the meeting concluded peacefully and meaningfully.
A key item discussed during the assembly was the social boycott imposed on Kho John and Allyson Abonmai, both of whom contested in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Following the completion of necessary procedures and formalities, the assembly resolved to lift the boycott against the two individuals.

Lorho also informed that the case of another individual remains under process.
The assembly further deliberated on the prevailing political situation and challenges facing the Naga community.
While several other issues were tabled, details were not disclosed to the media.
Around 60 delegates participated in the meeting, including representatives from 21 Naga tribe leaders, apex district organisations such as the Naga People's Organization (NPO) Senapati, Chandel Naga People's Organization (CNPO) , Joint Tribe Council (JTC), Tamenglong and senior UNC leaders.
