State logs 13 new Covid cases

Imphal, June 24 2025:
The state on Tuesday reported 13 new COVID-19 cases, taking the cumulative tally in the current wave to 171, according to the latest update issued by the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) .
A total of 44 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, recording a daily positivity rate of 29.5 percent.
Imphal East registered the highest number of fresh cases with 7 new positives from 14 samples tested, showing a positivity rate of 50 per cent.
Imphal West followed with 6 new cases out of 20 samples tested, reflecting a 30 per cent positivity rate.
Since the start of the current wave, the state has tested a total of 554 samples.
The overall positivity rate for the wave now stands at 30.9 per cent, with the twin Imphal districts bearing the brunt of both test load and case burden.
The total number of active cases in the state currently stands at 137, out of which 124 individuals are under home isolation.
On the other hand, 14 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours after completing their isolation period.
