211th Bhanubhakta Acharya Jayanti observed

The 211th Bhanubhakta Acharya Jayanti Was observed by Nepali community in various parts of the state on Saturday.
In a release, Nepali Sahitya Parishad, Manipur (NPCM) secretary Deepak Pantha informed that the 211th birth anniversary of Bhanubhakta Acharya, the great ancient Nepali language poet, was observed in every household by lighting 'Diya' (lamp) and reciting of Ramayana.
Ramayana in Nepali language was first translated from Sanskrit by him.
His other published books which are equally popular and heart touching are 'Vadhu Shiksha', 'Ram Geeta', 'Prashnotari', and many more, it added.
The release further conveyed that the anniversary was observed at Koubru Leikha temple by Koubru Leikha Santhi Gorkha Youth Club with NPCM assistant secretary Homnath Chapagain, Koubru Leikha village chairman CB Bista, Kumar Chimariya and Jay Bahadur Bhattarai attending as presidium members.
The event was also observed at Kanglatongbi Hindi Secondary School Hall, Bishnulal High School Hall Charhajare, Leimakhong, Kalapahar, Toribari and many other Gorkha dominated villages.
During the observance, Gorkha community prayed and wished for peaceand brotherhood in the state at the earliest, it mentioned.
