Senapati, July 08 2025:
Joining the nationwide effort to increase Aadhaar enrolment and updates for students, Senapati district administration began its Aadhaar Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) saturation drive on Monday, starting at St Joseph School, Shajou ba, and Nazareth Residential School, Mao.
The drive covers both government and private schools in the district, where Aadhaar enrolment rates remain low.
The district administration continued the Aadhaar saturation drive on Tuesday at Don Bosco, Mao, and Don Bosco, Punanamei, facilitating Aadhaar enrolment along with Mandatory Biometric Updates (MBU1 for children aged 5 and MBU 2 for those aged 15) .
The APAAR ID will soon become an essential tool for students, enabling access to DigiLocker, the National Testing Agency, and other Aadhaar-related services.
Adahrii Maheo, chief executive officer of the ADC, Senapati, and L Solomon, zonal education officer, have been appointed as nodal officers to oversee the campaign.
They will ensure 100 per cent APAAR generation for all students and monitor progress until the drive concludes on July 30 .
The district administration has urged students, parents, and ICDS beneficiaries to participate by visiting designated camps with the necessary documents, including birth certificates, parents' Aadhaar cards, ST certificates (if applicable), and other relevant documents.
Village authorities, head teachers, school principals, and parents are also requested to cooperate to ensure the campaign's success.
