NEZCC invites young artistes/artists for awards

Imphal, August 05 2025: Ministry of Culture's North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) has invited applications from young artistes/artists for selection of outstanding Young Talented Award for the years 2023-24, 2024-25 and 2025-26 in the categories of folk & tribal music/song & dance, theatre, dance, drama, mime, painting, wood, cane and bamboo craft, traditional handloom and handicrafts, pottery, etc.

A notification issued by Art & Culture director K Dinamani Singh informed that artistes/artists in the age group of 18 to 30 years (as on March 31, 2023) are eligible to apply for the award, consisting of Rs 20,000, citation and memento.

Candidates should be an Indian citizen and an indigenous Manipuri.

Candidates who have received any such awards (state/national) earlier in the same held are not eligible for the scheme.

Deserving artistes/artisans may collect the application form from the office of Directorate of Art & Culture, Manipur with effect from August 5, 2025 or download it from the NEZCC website https://nezccdimapur.org.in/Home/Advertisement, and submit the duly-filled up form to the Directorate of Art & Culture, within 4 pm of August 18 .

Screening of the applicants/candidates will be started from August 21, 2025, the notification added.
