Meet dissects 'Mariyang-Ngai' festival

Imphal, May 04 2025: Kabui Dharma Sabha, Manipur on Sunday organised a discussion programme at its Mahabali Kabui Khul head office located on 'Mari-yang-Ngai' festival celebrated by Kabui.

A release issued by Kabui Dharma Sabha informed that its president DL Kabui read but a paper titled 'Kabui Jatigi Mariyang-Ngai' and discussed about the festival.

DL Kabui said that 'Mariyang-Ngai' is one of the oldest and most important festivals of Kabui celebrated since time immemorial.

Although festivals are celebrated each year, it is important to understand and discuss their underlying significance.

Otherwise, the true meaning behind the celebrations may be misunderstood or diluted, he cautioned.
