Meritorious students, footballer felicitated

Wangkhem Block Congress Committee (WBCC) and One Home Foundation felicitated meritorious students who secured top grades and positions in the HSE 2025 examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM), along with the SAFF U-19 Championship-winning footballer from Wangkhem assembly constituency, at the residence of Wangkhem MLA Keisham Meghachandra at Yairipok Bishnunaha on Saturday.
The felicitation programme was attended by Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president and MLA K Meghachandra as chief guest and WBCC president Alhaj Keramat Ali as president, while Wangkhem Block Mahila Congress Committee president Konsam (o) Kunjamani Devi, WBCC vice president Sorokhaibam Kunjeshor Singh, Wangkhem AC nominee Khundrakpam Premnath and other local leaders were guests of honour.
During the function, HSE 2025 arts stream 1st position holder Keisham Hannah Devi (EK Higher Secondary School) of Yairipok Bishnunaha Awang Leikai; HSE science stream 6th position holder Talha Bin Shah (Herbert School) of Phouden Maning Leikai; 18th position holder Mayengbam Ambashwori Devi (Fancier Higher Secondary School) of Charangpat Mayai Leikai; 19th position holder Maibam Sapana Devi (Comet School) of Phouden Keirambi; and Laishom Dinku (Imprint Science Acaderpy) of Charangpat Maning Leikai, along with SAFF U-19 Championship-winning Team India member and Most Valuable Player of the tournament recipient Md Arbash of Yairipok Singa, were presented with stoles, citations and cash prizes.
Meanwhile, Padma Ratna English School, Kakching, organised its three-day Annual Literary Meet at the school's auditorium on Saturday, with the opening function attended by the school's managing committee ex-vice president Moirangthem Mukund, principal Thokchom Jiten, vice-principal Naorem Kunje Devi, managing committee vice-president Moirangthem Brojen, treasurer Kshetrimayum Samarendro, and members Moirangthem Jayenta and Thounaojam Sundar as dais members.
The programme featured floral tributes to the school's founder Salam Kshetra, a symposium on 'The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Education,' and cultural performances.
At the event, Padma Ratna English School's HSLC 2025 school topper Sruty Wangjam, daughter of Sanjay Wangjamcha and Kumam Roniba of Kakching Chum-nang Leikai Leibaklei Gas Opposite Pareng, was felicitated with a cash prize.
It may be mentioned that Sruty has also represented the state in the National Science Seminar held in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
