Thoubal, September 22 2024:
A public meeting jointly organised by Heirok Apunba Club and Heirok Apunba Meira Paibi at Heirok Part 2 Umang Laikol on Sunday demanded chief minister N Biren to withdraw his remark against the people of Thoubal, Wangjing and Heirok.
The public meet raised strong objections against the remark made by the CM saying that they strongly condemn the CM to stoop so low and make divisive remarks.
They said that Biren has become the most incompetent CM in the history of the state while criticising him for blaming the people of Thoubal, Wangjing and Heirok for the unrest situation in a desperate bid to cover up own failure and incompetency.
The meeting demanded the CM to withdraw his remark and issue apology.
They further demanded the Central and state governments to resolve the crisis and take up steps to ensure proper rehabilitation of the displaced people at the earliest.
