SDA organises Marathon to promote youth development in Sora

Thoubal, July 20 2025: The Social Development Association (SDA), Sora organised a marathon as part of its ongoing efforts to promote youth engagement and foster a spirit of games and sports among the youth of Sora village.

The marathon was flagged off from Wangjing YK College Gate and concluded at the Sora Library Cum Information Centre.

Yahya Faruque bagged the first position while Faruque Khan bagged the 2nd position in the marathon.

The initiative aimed to encourage physical fitness, discipline, and community participation among the younger generation.

Speaking in this connection, Vice President of SDA, MK M Uddin, emphasised the importance of organising such events to build a healthier and more disciplined society, particularly for the youth.

He stated that SDA, with the active support of the people, would continue to take the lead in guiding the youth of Sora on the right path.

He added that the association aims not only to promote sports but also to contribute significantly in the field of education.

He further appealed to the public to extend their cooperation to SDA in achieving these objectives.
