Imphal, July 22 2026:
Acknowledging her resilience, the All Manipur Road Transport Drivers' & Motor Workers' Union (AMRTD&MWU) felicitated a woman commercial truck driver from Tamil Nadu who travelled along the badly damaged Imphal-Jiribam road to transport supplies to Imphal.
Prabhati (30) reached Jiribam on July 16 and began her journey to Imphal on July 18 along with other transporters as part of a convoy escorted by security personnel.

The convoy she was travelling with remained stranded for a few days at Nungba due to a landslide at Awangkhul and the unavailability of an escort party.
She reached Keithelmanbi in Imphal West this evening, where she was felicitated by the AMRTD&MWU with a simple gift.
Speaking to The Sangai Express, P Ratan, NH-37 in-charge of AMRTD&MWU, said that the courage displayed by Prabhati was remarkable and added that her determination was an inspiration to others.
