Demanding an explicit explanation for killing Thangkhalal Guite and Paominthang Guite by unidentified persons near Keibi Kumuda Mamang Thandabi canal in the night of April 18, the family members have decided not to claim the corpses.
Speaking to reporters at Canan Veng, North AOC this afternoon, Thangkhalal Guite's mother Ashi Guite claimed that her son was an innocent civilian.
Since the expiry of his father, Thangkhalal was earning daily wages to supplement family income, she conveyed.
At about 8 am of April 18, one Sagolsem Sunil of Nongshum village came to their house and went out with Thangkhalal.
Even as Ashi waited for return of her son the whole night forgoing her meal, Thangkhalal never came back.
In the next morning, Sunil came and asked if Thangkhalal had returned.
On being told that Thangkhalal had not returned yet, Sunil and Thangkhalal's elder brother Paokholen Guite went out in search of him, said the bereaved mother.
Strongly condemning the practice of levelling false charges after eliminating a person, Ashi maintained that she cannot accept that her son was guilty.
According to Paokholen, he and Sunil went up to Gopibung village from where Sunil turned back.
After reaching his home, Sunil reportedly informed Paokholen through mobile phone that his younger brother had been abducted by some persons.
On the clue given by Sunil, Paokholen went to Uyumpok Mamang Leikai searching for his brother, he narrated.
Tongkham Guite, father of the other deceased Paominthang disclosed his son was going to his elder sisters' place at Khamenlok.
He met with Thangkhalal at Nongshum parking.
Saying that his son was an innocent school going student, Tongkham asked as to why he was not intimated if his son had committed some mistake and gave a chance to correct the youngster.
He also sought attention of the public to the killing.
While strongly condemning the killing, president of KSO Iril Valley, Saikul unit Soshan Touthang urged upon the Government to establish the facts and motive behind the killing at the earliest failing which intense agitation of various sorts will be launched.
