22 to compete for Miss Shirui Lily title

Ukhrul, May 17 2025: 22 contestants will compete in the upcoming Miss Shirui Lily 2025 beauty pageant to be held at Vangayan Shirui village, Ukhrul on May 23.This was officially announced by the Miss Shirui Lily Organising Committee and the Indigenous Foundation at a press meet held at Forest Guest House, Duncan Park, Ukhrul on Saturday.

Event Director Phapha Gachui said 40 girls from different districts of Manipur took part in the audition, and 22 have been selected as contestants for the coveted title of Miss Shirui Lily 2025 .

The 22 contestants are from Senapati, Imphal, Noney, Tamenglong and Ukhrul districts.

Phapha said grooming for the contestants will be done by seasoned mentors in all sessions.

Besides, the crown winner, 1 st & 2nd runner-up, Phapha said, there will be seven sub-titles - Miss Humility, Miss Pheithei & Pangthei, Miss Graceful Walk, Miss Perfect Body, Miss Talented, Miss Beautiful Smile and Miss Popularity.

The crown winner will be awarded Rs 3 lakh along with gift hampers, however Rs 1 lakh will be held/reserved in her account to support her participation in other bigger events in the future, Phapha said.

The 1st and 2nd runners-up will take home Rs 1 lakh and Rs 75,000 respectively.

Each sub-title winner will be given a cash prize of Rs 20,000 .

Phapha said the organisers will bear the costs of all costumes, make-up, hairdo, emergency medical care, accommodation and travelling from Imphal-Ukhrul-Shirui village.

Phapha said, the theme of the 4th edition of Miss Shirui Lily 2025 is "Beauty for Humanity" .

It aims to empower women, promote health, environment, art and culture, and tourism.
