Imphal, July 25:
Strongly demanding the removal of AFSPA from the State, leaders of the FPM, BJP, MPP, MNC and DRPP in a joint meeting held today have demanded the State Government to take a definite decision for withdrawing the Disturbed Area Status from the whole State within three days.
In a statement, MLA I Hemochandra on behalf of the five political parties categorically stated that the stand of the Indian Government and the State Government on the ongoing agitation of the people is anti-people and repressive.
Condemning the disposal of Manorama's body by the Government without the consent of the victim's family members, it termed the Government's act as inhuman and insulting to the dignity of the deceased woman.
