Yoga sessions held across state

Imphal, June 15 2025:
Ahead of the upcoming International Day of Yoga 2025, a series of yoga sessions were conducted across the state.
A unique yoga session was organised at Komlakhong in Bishnupur district, amidst the serene and iconic phumdis of Loktak Lake.
With 58 participants, including 28 local youths, the session fostered spiritual calm and physical vitality in an extraordinary natural setting.
On Saturday, a yoga session with 50 school children of Jamkholin Model Academy was conducted at Sajik Tampak in Chandel district.
The event held early morning under the themed "Yoga for Self and Society," was aimed at raising awareness about the benefits of yoga for mental clarity, physical fitness and emotional well-being.
The initiative resonates with the national spirit of unity and inner peace,that Yoga Day represents.
Similarly, on Sunday, another round of yoga sessions was conducted at Serou, Khongjom War Memorial, Waikhong, and Phundrei.
A free medical check-up camp was also set up at Serou, extending healthcare support to the community.
The sessions emphasised yoga as a daily practice for managing stress, improving focus, and enhancing physical and mental readiness among personnel and civilians alike.
