Dance drama 'Ahingee Laan' showcased

Imphal, August 14 2025: As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the 44th drama production of JN Manipur Dance Academy "Ahingee Laan" was showcased at the academy's main auditorium on Wednesday.

The function was attended by Academy former vice chairman professor Hijam Tombi Singh, vice chairman professor Longjam Joychandra Singh and Manipur State Kala Akademi secretary Sunanda Thokchom as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Sunanda explained that "Ahingee Laan" is based on the Chakravyuh episode of the Mahabharata.

She noted that the central themes of the Mahabharata which are righteousness, doing good, the consequences of wrongdoing and the value of sacrifice, should be embraced by every citizen of the state.

She also informed that scholarship and fellowship application forms are currently being issued by MSKA, with September 4 as the last date for submission.
