FORUM to study Manipur's history, culture

Imphal, July 13 2025: A new organisation called 'Forum for Research Upliftment Manipur' (FORUM) was formed on Sunday at Manipur University Department of Chemistry with an aim to deliberate on the social issues related to history and culture of Manipur to uncover the truth.

Speaking in connection with launch of the organisation, general secretary Dr Mayanglambam Daya man informed that the FORUM has been established by like-minded university and college teachers, and research scholars with an aim to study and document Manipur's social issues.

The ideas and findings during research by the FORUM will also be archived for reference by the future generations, he added.

The event was attended by MU Department of Chemistry professor RK Hemantakumar Singh, Department of Statistics professor Kh Kumarchand, Kangla Pao editor Paonam Labango Mangang, All Manipur Bar Association secretary Ningombam An-gothoiba Meitei, and FORUM members, teachers and research scholars.
