SEACO celebrates 15th Foundation Day

South East Asia Cultural Organisation (SEACO) celebrated its 15th Foundation Day Manipur Dramatic Union hall, Yaiskul Police Lane on Tuesday.
The celebration was attended by director (Environment & Climate Change) Dr Tourangbam Brajakumar Singh, SEACO president Nongthombam Gorbadhon and advisor Akham Langol, Phayeng village 'khullakpa' Ningthoujam Toyai, KSA president Sukham Bidyananda, Andro village 'khullakpa' Sagolsem Chandra Meetei, JNIMS former director Laishram Deben, Forum for Research Upliftment, Manipur president Dr Khumukcham Biswajit, Koutruk village 'khullakpa' Khuraijam Bro-jen, Leimaram village 'khullakpa' Leichombam Tomchou, Sekmai Lai Haraoba Committee secretary Maharabam Krishna,

SEACO Kumbi branch president Wahengbam Panchamani, SEACO Moirang Khunou branch president Laishram Gour-amani and SEACO Chingkhei Khullen branch president Wahengbam Pamheiba as presidium members.
In his address, Dr Brajakumar noted that SEACO as a cultural organisation has been playing a crucial role in preserving culture and tradition of indigenous people of Manipur amidst the impact of social issues and influx of illegal immigrants.
Stressing the need for preserving culture and tradition, Dr Brajakumar said culture will bring mutual love and understanding among all the indigenous communities.
SEACO president Gorbadhon also said that SEACO has been shouldering immense responsibility to preserve culture and tradition of indigenous communities of South East Asia including the Meeteis scattered in region.
