Imphal, July 05 2025:
Stating that the allegations circulating on social media are baseless, the principal of Ibotonsana Girls' Higher Secondary School has clarified that no student has been enrolled in violation of the existing norms.
Addressing media persons at the school campus in Uripok on Thursday, Ibotonsana Girls' Higher Secondary School principal M Kheroda dismissed the allegations made by a student body as baseless and unfounded.
She said the accusation that a student was admitted to the school without appearing for the entrance examination is entirely false and unfortunate.
Clarifying the school's admission procedures, the principal stated that there are specific criteria for admission to Class XI in the Science and Arts streams.
Students who have scored above 80 percent marks in their Class X exams and those who have passed out from the school itself are exempted from appearing in the entrance test.
For the Commerce stream, no entrance test is conducted and admissions are made purely on the basis of seat availability.
There is no fraudulent activity involved in the admission process of Class XI students.
The charges have likely been made by individuals who are not fully aware of the admission norms, she said.
Terming the allegations as an attempt to tarnish the image of the school and her own reputation, principal Kheroda appealed to all concerned not to spread misinformation or take actions that could harm the school's standing in the eyes of the public.
