Human chain demands justice for Abdul Kadir

Thoubal, June 20 2025: Members of the Anjuman Nasrul Islam Ulama-e-Association, Sora along with residents of Sora, organised a peaceful human chain protest today at Sora bazar demanding justice for the brutal killing of Chesam Abdul Kadir.

During the protest, the protesters chanted slogans, calling for the harshest punishment against those responsible for what they described as the "heinous crime" of murdering a specially-abled individual.

M Ikramuddin, general secretary of Anjuman Nasrul Islam Ulama-e-Assn, while condemning the incident has questioned the motive behind the killing of a differently-abled person.

He urged the authorities concerned to take urgent action and bring the perpetrators to justice without delay.

While stating that such incidents may invite more chaos in the State, he appealed to the clubs, public bodies, or any civil society organisations to not take the law into their own hands, but to work towards promoting peace and mutual respect among the communities.

He also stated that Anjuman will always extend full support to the JAC until justice is delivered for Abdul Kadir.
