State logs five fresh Covid cases

Imphal, July 13 2025:
The state recorded five fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with a daily positivity rate rising to 20.8 per cent, according to the latest report by the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) on Sunday.
Imphal West remains the most affected district, accounting for four of the new infections, and 210 total cases.
Kakching district reported the fifth case, marking a daily positivity rate of 50 per cent, with one positive out of two samples tested.
Since June 16, the state has tested 1,208 samples, of which 323 have returned positive.
A total of 298 patients have recovered so far, while the number of active cases stands at 25 .
The state has not reported any COVID-related deaths so far.
Imphal East has seen a cumulative total of 71 cases, followed by Bishnupur with 23 and Thoubal 13 .
Meanwhile, districts like Churachandpur, Ukhrul, Kamjong, Senapati, and Noney remain free from the disease.
There were no new hospital admissions reported.
Home isolation remains the preferred mode of care, with 21 patients currently under home isolation and 276 people discharged after recovery.
