Imphal, May 13 2025: Dr Madhulika Jonathan, Chief of Field Office, UNICEF for Assam and the North Eastern States, called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at the Raj Bhavan today.

Accompanied by four officials, Dr Madhulika briefed the Governor on various initiatives undertaken by UNICEF in the region, including vaccination and immunization efforts for children.

The team also highlighted the distribution of educational and sports kits to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Manipur.

The Governor appreciated their dedicated efforts and encouraged them to continue focusing on their humanitarian work.

Dr Madhulika also sought the Governor's support in addressing certain financial challenges and requested his guidance.

The Governor acknowledged their concerns and assured them of his attention to the matter, said a press release issued by the Governor's Secretariat.
