Imphal, May 12 2025: Resident Welfare Association (RWA), Wangkhei Khunou, Imphal East organised a one-day awareness programme on elimination of single use plastics at the Wangkhei Khunou residence of Thingbaijam Kishore, on Sunday.

Manipur Pollution Control Board member secretary Waikhom Roshan, RWA president Ch Sadananda and Lamphel SDO Yumnam Dhanendro attended the programme as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Awareness on single use plastic held

Residents under the jurisdictional areas of RWA joined the awareness programme, wherein experts deliberated on the negative impact of single use plastics, and public responsibilities in eliminating them.

Carry bags made of fabric were distributed to the participants.

RWA president Sadananda announced that similar carry bags will be distributed to all the households under RWA jurisdiction.
