Imphal, August 11 2025: State and central security forces apprehended a cadre of the Pambei-led UNLF identified as Thoudam Bobby Singh (50) of Toubul Mayai Leikai in Bishnupur district, from near his house on Saturday.

According to a statement from the police control room, the joint team recovered a .303 rifle with magazine, five magazines of various rifles, a No 36 hand grenade, 501 rounds of assorted calibres, two .303 ammunition char gers, a black gun case, and a mobile phone with SIM card from the captive.

On Sunday, a cadre of KCP (Ibungo Ngangom) identified as Ningombam Nongyai Meetei alias Khingba (20) of Taothong Khunou under Lamsang-PS was rounded up from his residence while two cadres of KCP (City Meitei) identified as Mathurabasimayum Arnold Sharma (21) of Sagolband Moirang Hanuba Leirak, and Thongam Prakash Meitei (25) of Langjing Awang Leikai were arrested from Moirang Hanuba Leirak and Heibongpokpi area under Lamphel and Lamsang PSs respectively.

Security forces also arrested a cadre of KCP (PWG) identified as Hodam Bikram Singh alias Punsiba alias Tomthin (37), of Wangjing Awang Leikai, from Khabeisoi Ishirou area under Heingang- PS along with an Aadhaar card on Sunday.

Earlier, on Saturday, Bishnupur police detained a juvenile in Kwakta Kutthabi and seized eight soap cases containing about 100 grams of contraband brown sugar.

In addition, police continued their campaign against motor vehicle violations, issuing total of 27 challans, amounting to Rs 37,500 in fines on Sunday.
