Meiphung Productions launches website

Ukhrul, July 04 2025: In a landmark moment for Tangkhul film, Meiphung Productions - a leading movie production house in the district - officially launched a dedicated website, at its Hamleikhong office in Ukhrul town, here, on Friday.

Launching the website, TBCA Church coordinator Thotshang Zimik invoked blessings for the Meiphung Productions team, commending their perseverance through myriad challenges and wishing them success in future endeavours.

MP's chief operating officer Seema Awungshi elaborated on the strategic vision behind the new digital hub, stating: "This website is designed for wider reach and to also improve our revenue generation" .

Seema also highlighted the difficulties faced by local filmmakers due to the lack of a solid market and dedicated theatres in the district, explaining that the same necessitated online platform to address such challenges.

The website www.meiphung.com/ now hosts Meiphung Productions entire filmography, making its seven movies, produced since its inception in 2014, readily available.

Seema clarified that while previous releases are freely accessible in the archive, newer titles like 'Zingthanwo' arid 'Mashunwo' are offered under a premium viewing option.

Expressing deep appreciation, Seema Awungshi thanked the public for their consistent support over the years and called for continued encouragement as the production house ventures into this new digital space.

The website is the fruit of labour from a technical team, led by web designer Rinmi Khamrang.

The launch function was also attended by local artistes, well-wishers, and members of the Meiphung Productions family.
