Strong wind flattens Govt school building

Nagaching Government Primary School in Abungchiang Part-2 village, Noney district, collapsed after a strong wind swept through the area on Saturday.
The incident has caused significant challenges for students and teachers, disrupting their ability to continue classes.
According to the school headmistress-in-charge, Esther Gangmei, the second terminal examination is scheduled for Monday (September 23), and all necessary preparations had been made.
However, the destruction of the school building has brought unexpected hardships.
Meanwhile, the school's board has urged authority concerned to take the matter seriously and construct a new school building to ensure the continuation of classes.
Nagaching Government Primary School is affiliated with the Tamenglong Autonomous District Council (TADC).
It is also worth noting that the windstorm caused widespread damage to property and standing crops across Noney district.
