LKVVF condemns extortion, killings

Imphal, July 22 2024: Lamlai Kendra Village Volunteers' Force (LKVVF) has appealed to all concerned not to carry out extortion and killings in any area under Lamlai assembly constituency.

According to a statement of LKVVF, village volunteers are guarding villages under red zone in Lamlai assembly constituency day and night.

However, some individu-als/groups are carrying out extortion in the name of defending fringe villages.

Stating that the current conflict is for safeguarding the territorial integrity of the state, LKWF appealed to in-dividuals/groups concerned to stop extortion activities.

It warned that whoever found involved in creating problem to public by carrying extortion and other illegal acts have to face consequences.

Condemning the acts of killings and torturing of people kidnapped from other areas in Lamlai AC, LKVVF also appealed to groups responsible to avoid such acts in Lamlai AC .
