Health camp held for Child Care Institutions of Kakching & Thoubal, 235 children participate

A mega free Health Camp.
"Nanhi Muskaan" (little smile) - 2025 was held today for the children of Child Care Institutions (CCIs) of Kakching and Thoubal districts at the Morning Star Children Home for Boys, Keirak in Kakching district under the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD).
Altogether 235 children participated in the health camp which was conducted under the supervision of the District Administration Kakching.
The camp was jointly organised by the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Dental College of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal and District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Kakching of Department of Social Welfare.
Nanhi Muskaan which translates to "little smile" is an initiative by the Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry (ISPPD) focused on improving the oral health of underprivileged children.
As part of the camp, an awareness program on health and hygiene was also conducted during which the officials interacted with the children.
The program aimed to educate and empower the children with the knowledge and practices to maintain personal well-being and prevent illness.
The officials covered the topics like oral health, handwashing, sanitation, nutrition and disease prevention.
