RIMC exam on Dec 7; entries invited for photography competition

Imphal, August 19 2025: Directorate Of Education (S) has announced that the entrance examination for admission of boys and girls (Class VIII) for the 2026 academic session at Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC), Dehradun will be conducted on December 7 at Ram Lal Paul HSS, Imphal.

A notification issued by Education (Schools) director Ng Bhogendra Meitei informed that candidates seeking enrolment at the RIMC should either be studying in class VII or passed class VII from any recognised school and should be in the age bracket of 11.5 to 13 years as on July 1, 2026 .

Relevant details may be obtained from the OSD, Room No 51A (Examination section) Directorate of Education(S), Lamphelpat, Imphal during office hours.

Notification of RIMC qualifying examination is also available on the official website of RIMC (www.rimc.gov.in) and website of Education(S) Department (www.

manipureducation.gov.in), according to the notification.

On the other-hand, Forest Department has invited applications for the State Level Wildlife Photography Competition, 2025 on the theme 'Wild Mammals of Manipur in their Natural Habitat' .

In a notification, Kangpokpi divisional forest officer in-charge Shanngam S stated that intending candidates can download the prescribed forms, rules and regulations from the official websites of the department: https://forest.manipurforest.gov.in or collect it from office of the Kangpokpi Forest Division, IT Road.

Entries for the photography competition may be submitted to the Office of the principal chief conservator of forests/wildlife & chief wildlife warden, Sanjenthong or may be sent via email to: [email protected] on or before August 31 .

There is no entry fee for the competition, it added.
