Tripura Meetei student ranks 8 th in TBSE Exam

In a joyous and proud moment for the Meetei community in Tripura, Bithi Singha has secured the 8th position in the Madhyamik Pariksha (Secondary Examination) 2025 conducted by the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) .
The announcement of the top 10 rank holders came 1.5 month after the declaration of the examination results.
Bithi's achievement is historic as she is only the third Meetei student in Tripura to make a cut in the top 10 of the TBSE examination in the past 46 years.
A student of PM Shri Baidyardighi HS School, Bithi hails from Baidyardighi Meitei village in Tripura.
She is the daughter of Langonjam Bikash Singha and Ningthoujam Radharani.
Scoring an impressive 482 out of 500 marks, she achieved a remarkable percentage of 96.4 percent.
Her subject-wise scores include 98 in Bangla, 94 in English, 96 in Mathematics, 98 in Science, and 96 in Social Science.
Bithi is currently a science stream student at Kamini Kumar HS School, Agartala.
The last to achieve similar feats were Ksh Prasanta Kumar Singha (8th position in 1976) and Leiphrakpam Swapna, who ranked 6th in 1979 .
